Blackpool Residents to be Counted on Casino

Blackpool residents can now voice their opinions regarding the proposed Blackpool regional casino.

Casino Advisory Panel Chairman Professor Stephen Crow has announced that they are asking the people to apply for the chance to be part of the Examination in Public that will be held on September 8.

The Examination in Public will be held with the Blackpool Council.

Casino Advisory Panel asked the public to present views that will consist with not more than one thousand five hundred words and which should reach them by August 10.

The panel will review the application and the views submitted by the people and will issue invitations to different people so as to represent wide array of opinions.

According to Councillor Eddie Collett, deputy leader in Blackpool Council, the opportunity to let the Blackpool get the regional license is very critical and they had already presented a comprehensive submission to the panel to make sure Blackpool is short listed.

Blackpool is one of the venues that had passed a proposal to the Casino Advisory Panel and they are short listed for regional casinos.

Professor Stephen Crow said that the views should center their views on why the regional casino should be located in Blackpool and not on their gambling views per se.

Any residents who like to pass applications should submit to Ms Kate Rounce, Casino Advisory Panel Secretariat.
